Mercury Lounge June 2025 Recap

There’s not a lot to say about our Mercury Lounge gig on June 3, 2025, except that it was a big success — a packed, enthusiastic crowd; a band that sounded more excellent than ever; and a worthy opening set from the John Sharples Band. It was especially great to have Huck Tim perform a rap written expressly for our song Where’s the Soul; I think it really worked, and I would love any feedback from you on what you thought. The irrepressible and passionate Fawzia Afzal-Khan then reprised her vocals on Broken Promise Land. OK yes I did make some mistakes here and there, but, you know, it was live, and those mistakes were immediately swallowed up by the band’s great sound and energy. Thanks to everybody.

I have also created an updated band bio page here in case you want to know a bit more about these fine folks. And a reminder that I created a Spotify playlist of the studio tracks for our set that night here. One other thing: We WILL be returning to the Mercury Lounge, so watch this space.

And finally, here are a bunch of photos from the gig. Big thanks to Vinnie Grosso and Jacob Levenson:
